ACPMP Research Foundation — Changemaker Research Grant

Direct-cost grant for high-impact appendix cancer and pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) research (basic, translational, or clinical) with clear potential to change knowledge or patient outcomes. Applications are submitted via ProposalCentral.

Eligibility Criteria:

Doctoral degree (MD, PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent) at a medical/academic/research institution.
Full-time faculty at Assistant Professor rank or higher; one proposal per cycle.
Focus strictly on appendiceal tumors (e.g., mucinous neoplasms, adenocarcinoma incl. signet ring/goblet cell) and/or PMP of appendiceal origin.
Not eligible if you currently hold an active ACPMP Catalyst Research Grant.

Funding Details:

Up to USD 150,000 (direct costs only); no indirects.
NIH salary cap applies; detail percent effort and key personnel.
Justify equipment >10% of total; allowable research supplies/equipment/publication costs tied to the project.
Not allowed: membership dues; conference travel/registration/housing; tuition; salary/benefits for for-profit or government personnel.

Deadline:

Full application due: September 1, 2025 (5:00 p.m. EST).
Review: Oct–Nov 2025; Notification: Nov 2025; Start: December 1, 2025.
