
ASTRO–BCRF Radiation Oncology Visiting Away Rotations for Medical Students
Four-week, stipend-supported away rotations (clinical or clinically oriented research) in radiation oncology for U.S. medical students, with a focus on advancing diversity and exposure for underrepresented-in-medicine (UIM) trainees.
Eligibility Criteria:

Enrolled and in good standing in a U.S. MD or DO program; U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident.

Preference for UIM students; all years eligible (preference for M3–M4).

Rotation must be at an academic site with an established rad-onc clinical rotation and/or an ACGME-accredited residency with available mentors.

Clinical applicants: proof of acceptance to the host rotation. Research applicants: preselected mentor, mentoring plan, structured abstract.

ASTRO membership (complimentary for trainees) required upon selection; priority to applicants without other rotation funding.
Funding Details:

Stipend: USD 2,500 for the four-week rotation; paid at start upon required documentation.

No indirect/overhead or salary support beyond the stipend.
