
Conquer Cancer Young Investigator Award
The Conquer Cancer Young Investigator Award (YIA) provides $50,000 for one year to promising physician–scientists transitioning from fellowship to faculty, supporting mentored clinical oncology research under an experienced mentor.
Eligibility Criteria:

Degree & Profession: MD, DO, or international equivalent (MD/PhD eligible if both degrees completed prior to award start)

Training Status: Within the last 2 years of oncology subspecialty training (e.g., hematology-oncology fellowship, surgical oncology fellowship, radiation oncology residency) or completed subspecialty fellowship within 3 months of the deadline

Time Since Degree: ≤10 years since medical degree (exceptions for foreign graduates on request)

Research Focus: Investigative career in oncology, working in a lab or clinical research setting

License: Valid, active medical license in country of research

Mentorship: Must have an institutional mentor (if not ASCO member, include an ASCO member’s support letter)

ASCO Membership: Member or submitted membership application

Time Commitment: ≥60% protected research time during award year

Use of Funds: Personnel, research expenses, and travel to the Grants & Awards Ceremony at the ASCO Annual Meeting
