MRFF – Stem Cell Therapies Mission 2025 Grant Opportunity

This MRFF Stem Cell Therapies grant supports translational stem cell research in Australia, funding early-stage clinical trials (Phase I/IIa) of novel stem cell treatments and research into ethical, regulatory, community and economic aspects of stem cell therapies.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be from approved MRFF Eligible Organisations (universities, research hospitals, non-profits) in Australia.
Projects must align with MRFF SCTM 2025 Guidelines and fall under either Stream 1 (early clinical trials) or Stream 2 (sector research).

Funding Details:

Total Budget: AUD 31.5 million
Grant Value: up to AUD 5 million per project

Deadline:

Applications close 20 August 2025 at 17:00 (ACT local time).

Minimum Data deadline: 23 July 2025, 17:00 (ACT).
Questions due by 13 August 2025, 13:00 (ACT).
