This strand of Gilead’s UK & Ireland Fellowship and Medical Grants Programme awards one-year grants to healthcare and third-sector organisations pioneering innovation in awareness, diagnosis, and management of liver diseases—particularly viral hepatitis (B, C, delta) and primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). Projects should target improved care pathways, data-driven identification, peer support, and the societal or economic burden of reduced quality of life.

-
Data-driven diagnosis and re-engagement of those lost to follow-up.
-
Quality-of-life research for PBC patients.
-
Societal and health-economic studies on the burden of PBC and HDV.
