Incorporation of Novel NCI-Supported Technology to Accelerate Cancer Research (P50)

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) invites revision applications from currently funded NCI P50 Specialized Centers. The objective is to incorporate cutting-edge technologies developed through the NCI Innovative Molecular Analysis Technologies (IMAT) program to enhance or accelerate the parent center’s cancer research. The revision should expand upon existing research questions or methodologies and contribute to validating these novel tools for broader adoption in the cancer research community.

Eligibility Criteria:

Only existing NCI-funded P50 Specialized Centers are eligible to apply.
The parent grant must have at least one year of active funding remaining (excluding no-cost extensions).
The revision must integrate technology developed under the NCI IMAT program.
Technologies already commercially available or developed by the same PI are not eligible.
Applications during periods of no-cost extension will not be accepted.
Both domestic and foreign institutions are eligible.
Applicants must follow all NIH registration requirements including SAM, Grants.gov, eRA Commons, and obtain a UEI.

Funding Details:

Total funding available: $700,000 (FY 2026)
Estimated number of awards: 3
Maximum direct costs: $150,000 per year
Project period: Up to 2 years, but must not extend beyond the parent award’s end date
Mechanism: P50 Specialized Center (Clinical Trial Optional)
