
Visiting Fellow Program – National Cancer Center Korea
The Visiting Fellow Program at NCC Korea supports international medical scientists and bioscientists with potential to become independent clinical or research investigators. The program promotes international exchange and collaboration in medical and biological sciences. Fellows may train in hospital or research settings based on their interest areas, with options for both sponsored and non-sponsored programs.
Eligibility Criteria:

Foreign citizenship

Medical license or equivalent qualification

Doctoral degree in medicine, biomedical sciences, or public health
-
English communication skills
-
Recommendation from the president/chief of the applicant’s institution
Fellowship Period:
-
Short-term: 30–89 days
-
Long-term: 90–365 days
Funding Details:

Sponsored Program: Available only for candidates from Low-Income and Lower-Middle Income Countries (LMICs) according to World Bank classification; application period is January–August (for following year)

Non-sponsored Program: Open year-round

Participants must secure health insurance with coverage of at least USD 50,000
Clinical Participation Note:

Foreign doctors cannot practice medicine in Korea without approval from the Ministry of Health and Welfare
-
Approval process requires a minimum 5-month commitment, including a 3-month preliminary education at NCC Korea and submission of a formal government recommendation
