
Multi-disciplinary Breast Cancer Fellowship
The Multi-disciplinary Breast Cancer Fellowship at the Toronto Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre (OCC) is a prestigious training opportunity designed to develop clinical and research leaders in comprehensive breast cancer care. This fellowship integrates expertise across medical, surgical, and radiation oncology, as well as diagnostic imaging, pathology, epidemiology, and more, in a collaborative academic setting.
Program Objectives

Develop interdisciplinary expertise in breast cancer management

Strengthen clinical decision-making and research literacy

Foster critical appraisal skills for integrating evidence into patient care

Encourage fellows to pursue Master’s or PhD degrees in Clinical Epidemiology, Education, or Basic Science

Ensure broad exposure to academic, research, and clinical environments

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have completed residency training in:

General surgery

Medical, radiation, or surgical oncology

Diagnostic imaging

Must demonstrate commitment to interdisciplinary breast cancer care and research
Clinical & Research Components

Participation in multidisciplinary clinical activities across specialties

Mentorship from OCC’s faculty leaders in oncology, radiology, pathology, and research

Completion of at least one research project in any related discipline

Degree-track fellows are required to follow their academic program requirements while contributing to OCC academic and clinical activities
