
Real-World Evidence for Health Equity in Prostate Cancer Awards
Prostate Cancer UK launched the Real-World Evidence for Health Equity in Prostate Cancer Awards to fund research that addresses disparities in prostate cancer outcomes, particularly among Black men and socioeconomically disadvantaged populations. This initiative supports projects that use real-world data (RWD) from NHS registries to uncover gaps and drive equitable healthcare policy and practice.
Eligibility Criteria

Research must focus on health inequities in prostate cancer, with emphasis on racial disparities, especially for Black men

Projects must use UK-based Real-World Data (RWD) collected outside clinical trials

Applicants should apply rigorous epidemiological methods with policy-changing potential

Studies may also consider factors such as socioeconomic status, geographic deprivation, and other social determinants of health

Collaboration with the Data & Evidence Team was encouraged prior to submission
Funding Details

Total budget: 1 million British Pounds

Expected to fund 4 to 6 projects

Applications were evaluated for impact, alignment with health equity goals, and value for money
