
AoP: Emerging Clinical Researchers Awards
The Association of Physicians of Great Britain & Ireland (AoP) offers Emerging Clinical Researchers Awards—formerly known as the Young Investigator Awards—to support early-career clinician-scientists in translational medicine. These grants are intended to provide seed funding to help generate pilot data for future competitive fellowship applications.
Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be clinically qualified with an MD or PhD
-
Must not yet hold a substantive fellowship or major independent research funding
-
Must be clinically active with at least 20% protected research time (e.g., clinical lecturer post)
-
Must be affiliated with a UK or Irish university
-
Must be an AoP member or sponsored by a member
-
Applicants with an AMS Starter Grant or past recipients of this award are ineligible
Funding Details

Grant amount: up to 10,000 British Pounds
-
Funds may be used for: salaries, consumables, travel, equipment, and other research-related expenses
-
Funding must be used within 18 months
-
Ethical approvals are required for research involving animals

Deadline
