Cancer Council WA Senior-Career Fellowship

The Cancer Council WA Senior-career Fellowship supports outstanding researchers engaged in cancer research that significantly benefits Western Australian health and medical advancement. This competitive, high-value fellowship enables long-term research across any area including cancer causes, diagnosis, treatment, or prevention.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must hold a primary appointment at a publicly funded Western Australian higher education or medical research institution

• The administering institution must be an NHMRC Approved Administering Institution in Western Australia

• At least 75% of the research must be conducted through WA institutions or hospitals

• Open to senior-career researchers in any cancer-related field

Funding Details:

• Up to AUD 769,000

• Funding duration: up to 4 years

• Covers salary and/or research expenses to support major cancer research initiatives in WA

Deadline:

• Applications open: 5–7 March 2025

• Application deadline: 4 June 2025

• Interviews: 15–19 September 2025

• Notification of results: October 2025
