
Cancer Research Networking Awards 2025
The Cancer Research Networking Awards 2025 support Irish-based cancer researchers in establishing and strengthening collaborations, hosting conferences, training workshops, and developing new partnerships to build capacity in the cancer research community. Open to researchers across disciplines including translational, clinical, survivorship, social sciences, nursing, and allied health, this award helps cover the costs of cancer-focused networking initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Open to academic, clinical, or allied health researchers in Ireland (post-undergraduate level)
• Applicants must work in an oncology-based discipline or directly with cancer patients
• Host institution must be based in the Republic of Ireland or, in certain cases, a hospital affiliated with an approved host institution
• Only one application per applicant is allowed
• Eligible initiatives include conferences, workshops, summer schools, or collaborative research meetings focused on cancer
Funding Details:
• Up to EUR 2,000 per award
• Funding covers direct costs for planning, organizing, and hosting networking initiatives
• Events must start no earlier than 17 October 2025 and be completed within 12 months
• Hospital-based applicants may be reimbursed retrospectively
Deadline:
• Application opens: 31 March 2025
• Application deadline: 26 June 2025, 3:00 p.m. (Irish time)
• Awards announced: early to mid-August 2025
