
Cancer Research Trust NZ: Cancer Education + Development Awards
These awards support cancer-focused educational events in New Zealand, including conferences, training courses, hui, and community engagement initiatives. Funding can be used for event costs, hosting distinguished international speakers, or facilitating outreach and education related to cancer care or research.
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be based in New Zealand

For conferences, the chair of the local organising committee must apply

For hui or community engagement events, the lead researcher must apply

Applicants may be named on no more than two applications per round, with only one as Principal Investigator

Applications must demonstrate a commitment to Māori Health Advancement
Funding Details:

Maximum award: 5,000 NZD

Can be used for travel, accommodation, speaker fees, venue hire, or event delivery costs

Applications open twice yearly (March and September rounds)

Quotes must support travel or event costs (business class allowed for flights >8 hours)
Deadline:
Two rounds annually – March and September (exact deadlines vary; check CRTNZ portal)
