
Cancer Research UK: Early Detection and Diagnosis Programme Award
The Early Detection and Diagnosis (ED&D) Programme Award funds long-term, multidisciplinary research programmes that transform how and when cancer and precancerous states are detected. The scheme supports broad, multi-strand research that addresses major challenges in early detection and diagnosis of cancer and shows a clear path toward population or clinical impact.
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be scientists, clinicians, or healthcare workers

Based at a UK university, hospital, CRUK Institute, or research institution
-
Must have extensive postdoctoral experience and the ability to lead an independent research group
Funding Details:

Up to £2.5 million (USD 3.1 million)

Funding period: Up to 5 years
-
Supports salaries (except for PI), PhD students, postdocs, technical staff, equipment, and running costs
