
EONS Early Career Research Grant 2025
The European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS) Early Career Research Grant supports early-career cancer nurses in developing and conducting research projects relevant to clinical cancer nursing. The grant is intended to cover direct research expenses and promote the career progression of nurses with limited research experience.
Eligibility:

Early-career cancer nurse with less than 10 years of clinical oncology experience

Must hold a pre-doctoral degree (RN, BSc, Graduate Diploma, MSc, or be a PhD candidate), or have defended a PhD within the past 12 months
-
Must have a PhD-qualified clinical/academic mentor (letter of support required)

Must submit a letter of support from employer (with contact info)

Must be an individual or National Society member of EONS
-
Priority is given to nurses in clinical settings and first-time EONS grant applicants
-
Matched co-funding by employer is encouraged and viewed favorably
Funding:
-
Covers direct research costs such as:
-
Patient/public involvement
-
Software licenses
-
Methodological training
-
Project materials and consumables
-
Consultation/data analysis fees if justified
-

Does NOT cover: tuition, publication fees, salary, conferences, ethical approvals, hardware for personal use

Funds must be used within 12 months
-
Reimbursement is based on receipts/invoices
-
20% of funds withheld until final report is submitted
