The Ultrasound in Breast Cancer Surgery course, organized by the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), will take place on September 28–29, 2026, in Cremona, Italy.

This Level 1, in-person course will provide breast surgeons, surgical oncologists, and trainees with theoretical and hands-on training in the use of ultrasound in breast cancer surgery.

The programme covers ultrasound fundamentals for surgeons, intraoperative ultrasound, ultrasound-guided breast surgery, localisation techniques, margin assessment, biopsies and VABB, axillary localisation, and advanced technologies, combining lectures, clinical case discussions, surgical videos, phantom-based practical sessions, and workshops with patients. The course is currently operating through a waiting list.
