The Level 1 Hands-on Course on Thyroid Cancer Surgery, organized by the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), will take place on 10–11 December 2026 in Halle (Saale), Germany.

The first day will be held at Universitätsklinikum Halle and will feature expert lectures, live surgery, clinical case discussions, and updates on differentiated, medullary, advanced, and recurrent thyroid cancer. The second day, hosted at the Institut für Anatomie und Zellbiologie, will focus on hands-on cadaveric training in central and lateral neck dissection techniques. The course is intended for young surgeons and surgical trainees interested in thyroid surgery.
