The ESSO Hands-On Course on the Minimally Invasive Management of Peritoneal Surface Malignancies takes place 15–16 September 2026 at the Departamento de Anatomía, Histología y Neurociencia, Facultad de Medicina, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain.

Designed for surgeons specialising in peritoneal surface malignancies, this two-day course covers the most recent advances in minimally invasive treatment, including laparoscopic peritonectomy, laparoscopic HIPEC, PIPAC, immunofluorescence, robotic surgery, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence applications.

The programme combines plenary lectures and case-based discussions with hands-on cadaveric sessions, giving participants the opportunity to perform laparoscopic procedures directly. The course offers a comprehensive review of the role of laparoscopy in peritoneal disease management across staging, treatment, palliation, and research.
