ESSO Hands-on Course on Minimally Invasive Oesophagectomy and Gastrectomy
The Level 2 Hands-on Course on Minimally Invasive Oesophagectomy and Gastrectomy, organized by the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), will take place on 15–16 October 2026 at University Medical Centre Utrecht, The Netherlands.
Led by an international faculty, the course will combine expert lectures, anatomy sessions, live surgical demonstrations, and hands-on cadaveric training. Participants will explore minimally invasive and robotic techniques, common pitfalls, and practical guidance for introducing these procedures in their own centres. The course is intended for surgeons with experience in minimally invasive surgery who wish to strengthen their upper gastrointestinal surgical practice. Applications are now closed, with results to be announced by 15 July 2026.
