
The free webinar, “Global strategies to reverse the rise of liver cancer,” hosted by The Lancet Webinars in partnership with London Global Cancer Week, will be held virtually on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 09:00 London (GMT +0:00).
The session aims to foster a global dialogue among healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers to address the worldwide increase in liver cancer, which is projected to nearly double its case numbers by 2050.
Key topics covered will include comprehensive strategies from The Lancet Commission on addressing the global hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) burden, regional differences in cancer management, and the emerging threat of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver diseases (MASH). Expert speakers include Helena Wang and Vania Wisdom from The Lancet, and professors Jian Zhou, Stephen Lam Chan, Jordi Bruix, and Hongmei Zeng.
