The EACR – Overcoming Therapy Resistance: Outsmarting Intratumour Heterogeneity and Plasticity conference will take place from April 20–22, 2027, in Lyon, France.

Organized by the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR), the conference will bring together international researchers, clinicians, and allied health professionals to explore the biological mechanisms driving cancer therapy resistance and strategies to overcome tumour adaptation.

The meeting will focus on intratumour heterogeneity (ITH), cellular plasticity, and tumour evolution as key drivers of treatment resistance. The programme will explore how tumours adapt to different therapeutic approaches, including targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and combination treatments, and how the tumour immune microenvironment influences treatment response.

Sessions will address approaches to understanding and overcoming tumour complexity, including spatial and temporal tumour evolution, resistant cancer cell states such as persister cells and dormant cells, tumour microenvironment rewiring, adaptive therapies, combination strategies, and treatment timing and sequencing.
