The EACR – Defence is the Best Attack: Immuno-Oncology Breakthroughs conference will take place from May 11–13, 2027, in Barcelona, Spain.

Organized by the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR), the conference will bring together leading basic and translational scientists and clinicians to discuss the latest advances in immuno-oncology, from fundamental discoveries to clinical applications.

The meeting will focus on how advances in understanding the interaction between tumours and the immune system are shaping new therapeutic strategies. The programme will explore immune checkpoints, innate immune responses, immune cell therapies, cancer vaccines, biomarkers of response, and mechanisms of resistance to immunotherapy.

Through discussions spanning molecular mechanisms, novel therapeutic targets, and clinical studies, the conference will highlight emerging approaches aimed at expanding the number of patients who benefit from cancer immunotherapies.
