The Advanced Course on the Management of HIPEC after CRS, organized by the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), will take place on February 3–5, 2027, in Berlin, Germany.

This Level 1 advanced course focuses on cytoreductive surgery (CRS), hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), and other intraperitoneal treatments for primary and secondary peritoneal malignancies.

The multidisciplinary program combines evidence-based clinical decision-making with practical training, including plenary lectures, case discussions, video and live demonstrations, debates and pro/con sessions, and a wet-lab where participants can practice open and minimally invasive cytoreductive surgery. Key topics include peritoneal surface malignancies, colorectal and gastric cancer, appendiceal cancer and pseudomyxoma peritonei, mesothelioma, ovarian cancer, minimally invasive CRS, and emerging approaches in peritoneal surface oncology.

The course is intended for senior residents, experienced surgical oncologists, gastrointestinal and gynecologic oncologists, and early-career surgeons interested in peritoneal malignancies. Participants may also attend only the theoretical component, either in person or online. Registration is currently open.
