The “The Future We Choose Together: Turning Global Evidence into Local Action” webinar, organized by City Cancer Challenge (C/Can), will take place on September 8, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM CEST (5:00–6:00 PM AMT) as a live online event via Zoom.

The session will examine the findings of the WHO and IARC Global Status Report on Cancer 2026 and explore how global evidence and national cancer policies can be translated into practical action at the city level.

Participants will hear directly from contributors to the report and from WHO and C/Can leadership, with discussion focusing on what the report’s findings mean for cancer care on the ground, how connected local health systems can respond, and how cities can turn policy commitments into implementation.

The programme will include a presentation of the report, a city perspective, discussion on moving from national policy to city-level execution, and audience questions.
