Geriatric Oncology: Cognition and Communication 2026 is a complimentary virtual program and interactive skill-building workshop taking place online from Thursday, May 28, 2026, 8:30 AM to Friday, May 29, 2026, 5:00 PM.

Organized by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the program addresses key communication challenges when caring for older adults with cancer, including conversations with patients, caregivers, and family members, assessing decision-making capacity, and working effectively with interpreters for patients facing dementia and language barriers. The event will also feature discussions on chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment, the impact of distress and anxiety on cognition, and the diagnosis and management of delirium, dementia, and depression, followed by an immersive Geriatric Communication Skills Training Workshop with simulated clinically relevant scenarios for healthcare professionals working with older adults with cancer.

Registration is complimentary for accepted applicants, with participants selected through a competitive application process.
