The EACR – ecDNA and the Genomic Chaos of Cancer virtual conference will take place from February 23–24, 2027, online.

Organized by the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR), the conference will bring together basic and translational scientists and clinicians to explore the emerging role of extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA) in cancer development, evolution, and treatment resistance.

The meeting will focus on how ecDNA contributes to cancer biology, including intratumoral genetic heterogeneity, oncogene amplification, genome instability, tumour evolution, metastasis, and resistance to therapy. The programme will cover advances in understanding ecDNA biology, new technologies for studying ecDNA, computational and experimental approaches, and potential clinical and diagnostic applications.

This first EACR conference dedicated to ecDNA will highlight how these circular DNA structures influence cancer progression and how improved understanding of their mechanisms may contribute to future therapeutic strategies.
