The “Luminal Breast Cancer, Surgical Decisions, and the Immunotherapy Question – Not All pCRs Are Created Equal” webinar, organized by the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), will take place on September 23, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM CEST (7:30 PM to 8:30 PM AMT).

The webinar will examine how pathologic complete response (pCR) should be interpreted in luminal breast cancer, where its prognostic and surgical implications may differ from those seen in other molecular subtypes.

The programme will connect tumour biology, pathological response assessment, surgical decision-making, immunotherapy, and treatment de-escalation, with discussion of evidence including KEYNOTE-756.

Speakers include Joana Ribeiro, Abeer Shaaban, and Marie-Jeanne Vrancken Peeters, with Isabel Teresa Rubio and Eduard-Alexandru Bonci serving as moderators.
