The EASL Congress 2026, organized by the European Association for the Study of the Liver, is Europe’s largest event dedicated to hepatology. It is scheduled to take place from May 27–30, 2026, in Barcelona, Spain, with a virtual attendance option available.

The congress covers the full spectrum of liver health, including significant technical focus on Liver Cancer (Hepatocellular Carcinoma), cirrhosis, and liver transplantation. The scientific program includes a Postgraduate Course, a Basic Science Seminar, and specialized sessions on the latest diagnostic and therapeutic breakthroughs. The event is expected to host over 8,000 professionals and feature more than 2,000 abstract presentations.
