HER2 and Colorectal Cancer: What Advocates Need to Know is a free webinar hosted by the Global Colon Cancer Association on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 11am EDT (3:00pm UTC), designed to equip advocates with practical knowledge about HER2-positive colorectal cancer and the role biomarker testing can play in guiding care.

The webinar features John Strickler, MD, of Duke University, Co-Leader of the Precision Cancer Medicine and Investigational Therapeutics Program, Leader of the Molecular Tumor Board, and Associate Director of Clinical Research – GI Oncology, and Elle Charnisky, colorectal cancer advocate and participant in the MOUNTAINEER clinical trial, moderated by Nicole Sheahan, President of the Global Colon Cancer Association.

Attendees will learn what HER2 is and its role in colorectal cancer, why biomarker testing matters, how advocates can support patients in accessing biomarker testing, how biomarker results may help identify clinical trial opportunities, and the patient perspective on navigating precision medicine.
