David Fajgenbaum: How is the price of a drug
David Fajgenbaum, Associate Professor of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, shared on X:
“I realized early in my career that finding cures for rare diseases wasn’t a science problem but an organizational problem.
For this reason, I decided to pursue an MBA at The Wharton School which gave me the opportunities to build up the skillset around bringing people together to cure diseases.
These skills proved invaluable as they enabled me to bridge the gap between scientific research and practical healthcare solutions.
I learned how to bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, industry leaders, and policymakers to form effective collaborations aimed at tackling the complexities of rare diseases.
What are some organizational problems we need to solve within the rare disease community?”
