About Nagashree Seetharamu
Dr. Nagashree Seetharamu is a thoracic and head/neck oncologist at Northwell Health, New York. She is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Health. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, Oncology and Hospice Medicine/Palliative Care.
She is the director of thoracic and head and neck medical oncology and holds other key positions at Northwell Health.
At a national level, she serves on cancer prevention, health care disparities and respiratory committees of Alliance Oncology for Clinical Research; publications and mentorship committees of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO); as well as endocrine cancer committee of American Head and Neck Society.
She has been a speaker at various regional and national meetings and is the principal investigator for multiple clinical trials. She has innumerable peer-reviewed publications, is on editorial board of journals, and serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for a multitude of impactful journals and have presented my work at national and international conferences.
She is also an educator and is an associate program director for hematology and oncology fellowship program at Northwell Health and serves on the ASCO virtual mentorship committee. She is the Editor-in-chief of AME Case Reports Journal and an Editorial Board Member of OncoDaily.
About Gevorg Tamamyan
The host, Dr. Gevorg Tamamyan is the Editor-in-chief of OncoDaily, Head of the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Armenia, Chairman and Professor of the Department of Hematology and Pediatric Oncology at Yerevan State Medical University, CEO of the Immune Oncology Research Institute, President-Elect of the Pediatric Oncology East and Mediterranean (POEM) Group. He is also the Adviser to the Rector of YSMU and to the Director of the Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center. He is a Co-Founder and Board Member of the Armenian Association of Hematology and Oncology, City of Smile Charitable Foundation, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Cancer and Crisis, the Former President of the Harvard Club of Armenia.
Dr. Tamamyan is the Past-Chair of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) IDEA Steering Group and International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) PODC Supportive care WG, Ambassador of the Society of Hematologic Oncology. He was selected for the ASCO Leadership Development Program and currently is a member of the ASCO International Committee. He is a recipient of numerous awards and distinctions, among them the ASCO IDEA and LIFe Awards, 40 under 40 in Cancer Award, he was recognized as a Young Leader of the International Agency for Cancer Research (IARC) and Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).
