About Dean Crowe
Dean Crowe is the Founder and CEO of Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research, a non-profit organization based in Atlanta that funds childhood cancer research through grassroots initiatives. By vision and leadership, Dean works to empower a nationwide group of volunteers, families and friends who want to “do something” to help in the fight against childhood cancer. She also leads Rally’s national advocacy efforts. Dean has a background in commercial real estate sales and was a mortgage loan officer who got her start in fundraising by serving as the Campaign Director for Young Life’s national camp, SharpTop Cove. She fondly refers to that experience as “fundraising baptism by fire!”
Dean is a graduate of Auburn University and Harvard Business School Executive Education Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management. She and her husband, Reid, live in Atlanta and have two sons: Jonathan, a neurologist who is married to Katie and living in Boston; and Russ, a marketing strategist who is married to Emily and living in Atlanta. Dean and Reid enjoy traveling, college football and spending time with family and friends (from rallyfoundation.org).
About Gevorg Tamamyan
The host, Dr. Gevorg Tamamyan is the Editor-in-chief of OncoDaily, Head of the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Armenia, Chairman and Professor of the Department of Hematology and Pediatric Oncology at Yerevan State Medical University, CEO of the Immune Oncology Research Institute, President-Elect of the Pediatric Oncology East and Mediterranean (POEM) Group. He is also the Adviser to the Rector of YSMU and to the Director of the Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center. He is a Co-Founder and Board Member of the Armenian Association of Hematology and Oncology, City of Smile Charitable Foundation, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Cancer and Crisis, the Former President of the Harvard Club of Armenia.
Dr. Tamamyan is the Past-Chair of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) IDEA Steering Group and International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) PODC Supportive care WG, Ambassador of the Society of Hematologic Oncology. He was selected for the ASCO Leadership Development Program and currently is a member of the ASCO International Committee. He is a recipient of numerous awards and distinctions, among them the ASCO IDEA and LIFe Awards, 40 under 40 in Cancer Award, he was recognized as a Young Leader of the International Agency for Cancer Research (IARC) and Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).
