- Advancing precision oncology in Latin America: Suraj Samtani promotes the integration of clinical and genomic data to improve understanding of tumor biology and support more personalized cancer treatment.
- Contributing to lung cancer research: He has co-authored studies evaluating immunotherapy and targeted treatments in non-small cell and small cell lung cancer, including real-world outcomes in Latin American patients.
- Investigating disparities in cancer outcomes: His research has examined differences in outcomes among Hispanic and non-Hispanic patients receiving durvalumab after chemoradiation for stage III non-small cell lung cancer.
- Supporting immuno-oncology research and education: Through his clinical work and leadership in the Chilean Foundation for Immuno-Oncology, he contributes to the development and dissemination of knowledge about cancer immunotherapy.
