Park Seung-woo is President of Samsung Medical Center (SMC), leading one of Asia’s most advanced academic medical centers and a major regional hub for comprehensive cancer care and research. Since his appointment as President in 2021 and reappointment in 2025, he has guided institution-wide initiatives that strengthen SMC’s capacity to deliver high-complexity oncology care, integrate digital innovation into cancer workflows, and support data-driven precision medicine across tumor types.
Under Park’s leadership, Samsung Medical Center has accelerated the digital transformation of its cancer programs, including smart inpatient oncology wards, advanced electronic medical record integration for multidisciplinary tumor boards, and digital platforms that support complex treatment planning, longitudinal follow-up, and clinical research. He has overseen the implementation of the “Next Normal Process”, aligning hospital operations, oncology services, and research infrastructure to support scalable, high-acuity cancer care.
