Margaret Foti is the Chief Executive Officer of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). Under her leadership, AACR membership has grown from approximately 3,000 to more than 58,000 members across 140+ countries, and its scientific publishing portfolio has expanded from a single journal to ten leading peer-reviewed journals, shaping global cancer research dissemination.

Dr. Foti is a globally recognized leader in cancer research advocacy, science policy, and equity, and a long-standing champion of early-career investigators and women in science. Her contributions have been honored with numerous international awards and honorary medical degrees, including the AACR Margaret Foti Award for Leadership and Extraordinary Achievements in Cancer Research, established in her name in 2007.
