“Very exciting news. My medical student Anushka Parekh published a case report in Case Reports in Hematology titled ‘A Case of Duffy-Null-Associated Neutropenia in a Patient with CML,’ and I am incredibly proud of her.
In rural oncology, engaging students early matters. It gives students a real taste of community cancer care, the complexity of our patients, and the impact they can have close to home. My hope is that these early experiences inspire more students to return, train, stay, and advocate for rural patients and communities.”
