Hesham Elghazaly is the founder and President of the Breast–Gynecological International Cancer Society (BGICS), established to advance cancer prevention, early detection, multidisciplinary education, patient support programs, and collaborative research in breast and gynecological cancers. Under his leadership, BGICS organizes the annual Breast–Gynecological International Cancer Conference (BGICC), a major regional scientific forum gathering thousands of specialists from around the world.
He is Professor of Clinical Oncology and Head of the Medical Research Center (MASRI) at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Egypt. He is the President of Egypt Cancer Society, Chairman of the Presidential Initiative of Women’s Health in Egypt, serves on Egypt’s Higher Committee Against Cancer and is Vice Chair of the NCCN–MENA Breast Cancer Panel. Professor Elghazaly contributed to the development of ESMO clinical practice guidelines and NCCN–MENA breast cancer guidelines, supporting region-specific, evidence-based cancer care.
