Fabrice André Recognized among The 100 Most Influential People in Oncology in 2025

Fabrice André is the President of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) (2025-2026), Director of Research at Gustave Roussy Cancer Campus (France) since 2020, leading the institute’s research strategy, coordinating large-scale medico-scientific programs spanning basic science, translational research, bioinformatics, biotechnology, and clinical trials.

He is also a Professor of Medicine at Paris-Saclay University, and heads the Inserm U981 unit “Predictive Biomarkers and New Molecular Strategies in Cancer Therapy” and major national precision-medicine initiatives, including CANTO, RHU MyProbe, and PRISM, which became a Hospital-University Institute (IHU) in 2023.

His research focuses on biomarkers, targeted therapies, and personalized medicine, with leadership of multiple phase I–III clinical trials in breast cancer. Professor André has received numerous international honors, including Brinker Award for Scientific Distinction in Clinical Research (2024). He served as Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Oncology from 2017 to 2023.
