“Since 2022, the Elekta Foundation has worked together with our partner Rayos Contra Cancer (RCC) to expand access to education and training for radiotherapy professionals across low- and middle-income countries.
Together, we have supported the training of nearly 9,000 radiotherapy professionals, helping strengthen local expertise and build long-term capacity in cancer treatment. The impact extends far beyond the classroom. Through these efforts, more than 2 million patients have benefited from improved access to quality radiotherapy services and cancer care.
Investing in healthcare professionals is one of the most sustainable ways to improve cancer outcomes. Every trained professional can support thousands of patients throughout a career, creating a multiplier effect that continues long after the training has ended.
