E. Anders Kolb is President and Chief Executive Officer of Blood Cancer United, the global nonprofit formerly known as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, dedicated to advancing research, patient services, education, and advocacy for all blood cancers. He joined the organisation on May 1, 2023, and leads a team that oversees programs and initiatives across North America, supporting patients and families while funding innovative research. Kolb is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist and a recognized expert in blood cancers, with prior leadership roles at Nemours Children’s Health, Memorial Sloan‑Kettering Cancer Center, and other institutions. He has authored or co‑authored more than 150 peer-reviewed articles and has chaired major research committees, including the Children’s Oncology Group Myeloid Disease Committee.
Under his leadership, Blood Cancer United continues to expand research funding, patient support services, and strategic programs such as the Therapy Acceleration Program, accelerating the development of innovative treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and related disorders. Kolb’s clinical, research, and leadership expertise informs the organisation’s mission to reduce disparities in care, advance access to cutting-edge therapies, and strengthen collaboration across the global blood cancer community.
