Divine Uchenna, Communications and Publicity Officer at Move Against Cancer Africa (MACA), shared on LinkedIn:
“Every time I attend a conference, I leave with a very long list of things I still need to learn about.
Last week, I had the honour of representing Move Against Cancer Africa (MACA) at the Oncology Nursing Society of Nigeria (ONS- Nigeria) Conference, in Abuja.
I met with dedicated nurses, students, cancer advocates and other professionals who are contributing to the fight against cancer in many different ways.
Experiences like this always leave me with a sense of hope for what we can learn, build, and how much further we can go in improving cancer care outcomes in Africa.
I’m very grateful to have met with Dr Chinomso (Chino) Nwozichi president of the Oncology Nursing Society Nigeria, Gloria Chinyere Okwu founder of Gloria’s Cancer Foundation, and many other inspiring oncology professionals.
I’m thankful for this experience, and I’m excited to see how much more we can achieve!”
