Daiming Fan serves as President of the China Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), a non-governmental and non-profit organization that has grown to be one of the largest oncology communities in China. Prof Fan is the President of the World Association for Integrative Oncology (WAIO), which aims to create a holistic patient centered approach in oncology. With his instrumental efforts, the China-US Anti-Cancer Summit 2025 brought together professionals from across the world and had reportedly over 16 million viewership worldwide.
He also serves as the President of yet another key organization in the East, the Asian Oncology Society (AOS), and is a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and an international member of the U.S. and French National Academies of Medicine. Prof. Fan specialized in both clinical and basic research into digestive diseases, especially gastrointestinal cancers and has received multiple National Science and Technology Progress Awards, the French National Academy of Medicine–Servier Prize, and the 2019 World Gastroenterology Organisation Masters Award.
