Building Stronger Childhood Cancer Services with Stavros Niarchos Foundation – World Child Cancer

World Child Cancer shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Building stronger childhood cancer services begins with having doctors and nurses specialised in paediatric oncology.

With support from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), paediatricians from under-resourced countries in sub-Saharan Africa will attend a two-year fellowship in Ghana, while nurses will join the Paediatric Oncology Nursing Associates Programme.

By building the skills of these specialists, hospitals can provide earlier diagnosis, better treatment, and more holistic care. This is the essence of our Pillar 2: Treatment and Care, because most childhood cancers can be cured if children receive the right treatment, and this specialist training helps make that a reality.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, you can help fund specialist training and support healthcare workers like these. Every donation will be TRIPLED

We’re proud to continue working towards sustainable, long-term change for children with cancer.”Childhood Cancer
