Animal-assisted Therapy for Hospitalized Children – American Cancer Society

American Cancer Society shared a post on LinkedIn:

Animal-assisted therapy for hospitalized children has been shown to decrease symptoms like anxiety, stress, depression, and pain, and increase quality of life indicators like feelings of joy and calmness, positive memories from hospitalization, and improved sense of well-being.

Our ACS PAWS (Pups Assisting with Support) program aims to do just that: improve the lives of children and teens with cancer by expanding access to specially trained facility dogs. Thanks to your support and generosity, we’re excited to share the 15 grantees for 2025 – 2026!
