“I will begin my tenure as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics (JACMP) in 2026.
Under my leadership, JACMP is poised to remain a premier publication platform for practical science and clinical excellence. The journal’s core mission is to translate technological innovation into safe, efficient, and patient-centered clinical practice within the field of medical physics.
In my editor’s statement, I outline a clear strategic direction for the journal:
‘The emphasis of my editorship team for JACMP is threefold: to build strong and enduring connections between the clinical team, industry, and patients; to strengthen JACMP’s global outreach; and to promote and highlight the critical role of medical physics and its related professions in cancer treatment.’
Key Pillars of JACMP
I intend to continue driving progress through four essential pillars:
- Open Access: Facilitating the global dissemination of clinically impactful medical physics research without financial or accessibility barriers.
- Bedside Innovation: Prioritizing real-world workflows that integrate advanced physics and cutting-edge technology into routine patient care.
- Safety Standards: Advancing quality assurance, operational excellence, and clinical consistency across the international healthcare community.
- United for the Patient: Fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among physicists, therapists, dosimetrists, radiation oncologists, as well as industry vendors and patient advocacy groups.
A Global Standard in Medical Physics
To achieve these goals, I have assembled an elite editorial board featuring world-renowned experts from three continents across diverse disciplines, including diagnostic imaging, radiation therapy, radiobiology, radiopharmaceuticals, and more.
‘Under the leadership of such a strong editorial team, JACMP will enhance its global impact and grow to become the international standard and a leading figure for clinical medical physics.’ “
