“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Senior Vice President, Head of R&D, Japan at AstraZeneca!
As the new year begins, I am grateful to be stepping into my new role as SVP, Head of R&D for AstraZeneca Japan – and to now call Japan home.
Japan has long been a source of innovation across sectors, and in recent years, some of the world’s most impactful scientific and medical breakthroughs have emerged from this region. I’m looking forward to being closer to this momentum and to contributing from within an R&D community that is increasingly shaping the future of medicine. I am perhaps most excited to take on a role that broadens my exposure from a few programs to the full breadth of our pipeline – and with it, surely many new challenges and learning opportunities.
Thank you to Susan Galbraith, Sharon Barr, Takafumi Horii, Tomoko Ohtsu, and Neelima Rao for the trust, encouragement and warm welcome already extended. And my deepest thanks to my wife and our children for supporting yet another new chapter with generosity and steadiness.
