Sucharu Prakash, Director of Quality Services at Texas Oncology, shared on LinkedIn:
“I’m excited and deeply grateful to share that I’m taking on a new role as Medical Director of Precision Medicine for US Oncology.
I’m incredibly thankful to Leslie Busby , Devon Dickey Womack and Suzzette Arnal for their trust and confidence in giving me this opportunity.
Thank you Texas Oncology for allowing me to share my expertise with the broader network.
Precision oncology is at an exciting inflection point.
The challenges are significant- from ensuring equitable access to biomarker testing and targeted therapies, to integrating rapidly evolving genomic data into everyday clinical practice. But the opportunities are even greater.
Our ability to use genomics, biomarkers, molecular monitoring, and data-driven approaches to personalize cancer care has the potential to fundamentally change how we prevent, diagnose, monitor, and treat cancer.
I look forward to working with colleagues across The US Oncology Network to address the challenges we face while building on the tremendous opportunities precision medicine provides to improve outcomes and deliver the right treatment to the right patient at the right time.
Most importantly, I hope we can make the benefits of precision oncology accessible to every patient, regardless of where they receive their care.
Excited for the journey ahead, and grateful for the opportunity to contribute.”
