“Over the last 2 days, I have been honored to participate in the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine hooding ceremony and to be awarded the 2025 E. Grey Diamond Take Wing Award, my school’s highest alumni honor. I can not express how humbling the experience has been. (I cried twice.) Thank you, Dean Norbash, my amazing family, members of the awards committee, and the dear friends and faculty I was able to connect with during my visit. Thank you to Dr. Butin for nominating me – the epitome of lifelong mentorship. I am proud to embody the spirit of UMKC SOM in all that I do.”
