Seong Chi, Associate Medical Director, Scientific Advocacy and Professional Societies at AbbVie, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It’s already been a week, but I am excited to share that I’ve taken on the role of Director, Scientific Engagement and Professional Societies at Travere Therapeutics.
Much like my roots in oncology, I’m drawn to rare disease for its breadth and depth of impact – shaping how an entire scientific community engages with a disease, all while knowing that work reaches patients who need it most. A mission to put the puzzle pieces together.
It’s exciting, but also bittersweet. Stepping into this new chapter means stepping away from the patients, patient organizations, and professional societies I had the privilege of working so closely with. But it’s not really goodbye – many of them I now call good friends, and those relationships aren’t going anywhere.
Thank you to Rob Geletka, for the opportunity, and to Chris Gisler for the warm welcome to Travere and the continued mentorship.
And to Svetlana Kobina, Asud Khaliq and William Tunno – thank you for your leadership and support during my time at AbbVie Oncology.
Grateful and energized for what’s next for our family: our girls starting a new school year, Zeena getting a promotion and me trying to keep up.”
