Samyukta Mullangi Joins OpenEvidence as VP of Clinical Strategy

Samyukta Mullangi, Medical Oncologist at Tennessee Oncology and VP of Clinical Strategy at OpenEvidence, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“After 3 amazing years at Thyme Care, I am transitioning to a new chapter. I’m so so grateful to Bobby Green and Robin Shah for the opportunity of a lifetime, a dream job crafted for me when I was still in fellowship.

This team is amazing, creative, and entrepreneurial, and the talent density is sky-high. Being at Thyme Care at times felt like being in residency all over again – surrounded by people who are smarter than me in so many ways, and needing to learn things anew. In the last 3 years, we’ve accomplished so much – growing from 1 state to supporting more than 85K patients in all 50, and creating innovative, patient-centric, tech-forward products with beautiful operational excellence. I will always remain a fan, and grateful to be staying on as an advisor.

I could not be more thrilled to be joining OpenEvidence as VP of Clinical Strategy. I was first a user and admirer of the product – just a private practice doc in a semi-rural clinic who appreciated the ability to access the vast universe of scientific literature with speed and nuance.

Then I became an admirer of the process – as I saw how OpenEvidence continually expanded its repository of clinical evidence in a responsible, ethical manner – signing clear agreements with journals, medical societies, and institutions in order to access content – sacrificing speed for principle. I am excited to be joining Travis Zack in ideating and developing the product roadmap. I am also excited to bring the perspective of physician-led practices to OE.

And as always, I am so thankful to Natalie Dickson and the leadership at Tennessee Oncology who have nurtured and supported my ability to keep a busy, thriving clinic alongside this work.”
